Since our website is still in Dutch, we would like to tell you something about Bibou in English.

How it all started

Bibou started in Leiden 8 years ago as a small shop with natural cosmetics. The products were (and still are) free of parabenes, mineral oils and artificial colourings. They are handmade in small batches in our Dutch based laboratory and are not tested on animals.

The city spa developed when customers kept asking about treatments using our products. In the beginning we only had one treatment room, which was frequently visited by expats. Maybe it had something to do with our American spa pedicure chair!

We soon realized we needed a larger location and moved within the city centre. Bibou Leiden is still at this location with two single rooms and one double room.

We opened 'Biboutique' in 2009, which has a nail salon and is situated in the same alley as the city spa.

In June 2008 we fell in love with a charming old building in 'het Hofkwartier' in The Hague. This pretty location, near Noordeinde and between the Paleishotel and Parkhotel, is now the home of Bibou The Hague.

Bibou The Hague has a nail salon, a shop and three floors of treatment rooms (2 double rooms, one single room and double spa pedicure room).

We keep on going

Last year (2010) we opened our newest city spa in Rotterdam, situated in one of the most trendy streets of Rotterdam. 

This little gem has a nail salon, beauty shop and 2 floors of treatment rooms (2 single rooms, 1 double room and a spa pedicure area).

Both Bibou Leiden and Bibou The Hague have a bathroom with shower. You can use the shower to rinse off our bodywraps and also if e.g. you come straight from work and want a quick shower just before a massage.

Private party

You are welcome to visit our spa for a few hours with a couple of friends. In this case we can close Bibou to other customers and arrange a lunch; making your stay even more private. A nice idea too for a bachelorette or children’s party!

Because expats were practically the only customers we had when we first started, they always will have a special place in Bibou's heart. This is why we would like to give something back en give you 10% discount on all our treatments!
